THEY'RE BACK!!!!!
We are excited to start of the New Year with some great films for Monday Movie Musings! This month, a double feature of outside the box action films!
First up is "Everything Everywhere All at Once!" Winner of SEVEN! Oscars for 2022, including Best Picture, EEAAO brought directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan (often billed as simply as "Daniels") to widespread critical and cultural acclaim. Comedic action legends Michelle Yeoh, James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis all come up to bat, and hit their respective roles out of the park! The film's wide-ranging genre and emotional moments are both impressive and mesmerizing, creating a wonderfully unique film.

If that's not your cup of tea, or you'd like something else, we also have 1999's "The Boondock Saints," which sees two Irish Catholic brothers becoming vigilantes and wiping out Boston's criminal underworld. A wild action romp that borders on absurdity, with an equally unhinged Willem Dafoe at the helm, "The Boondock Saints" is wildly entertaining. Although box-office numbers were disappointing upon first release, the film later found acclaim and a cult following in the home market.
