Is your loved one dealing with PTSD and you aren't sure how to best support them or you find yourself wondering how you can support your mental and emotional health and theirs? Hear from Retired Colonel Dr. Elspeth Cameron Ritchie (Army) on how to best deal with these challenges.
Retired Colonel Dr. Elspeth Cameron Ritchie (Army), MD, specializes in Psychiatry and is the Chair of the Psychiatry Department at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. She will be sharing an insightful presentation for families with a loved one with PTSD. PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) affects not only military personnel but also first responders. These individuals are often exposed to traumatic events in their line of work, which can lead to PTSD. The impact of PTSD extends beyond the individuals who experience it; it also affects their families, friends, and loved ones. Understanding the challenges faced by these individuals and offering meaningful support can help promote healing and emotional well-being for both the person with PTSD and their family.
