This month is another exciting double feature for Movie Musings, this time two Academy Award Winning films!

First up is 1962's "To Kill a Mockingbird!" Based on the Harper Lee novel of the same name, the film is a fine example of how movies can adapt the written word for excellent results. Starring Hollywood legend Gregory Peck in an Oscar-winning portrayal of Atticus Finch, the film also picked up awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Art Direction.

If you'd like something shorter and in color!, or are looking for more great performances, then we have our other pick for this month, 1967's "The Graduate." With Mike Nichols at the helm, this feature won the Oscar for Best Directing, and has stand-out performances from Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft. Today, many will recognize the film for its soundtrack, which features original songs by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, including the immortal tune "Mrs. Robinson."

Watch it on Kanopy here: https://www.kanopy.com/en/calvert/video/14345314

YOU DO NOT NEED TO WATCH BOTH MOVIES TO COME! ONE OR THE OTHER IS FINE :)
