Chalk the Walk is an annual event held the first full week of May in recognition of Children's Mental Health Awareness Week. Come use chalk to draw pictures and write positive messages and words of encouragement on the library sidewalks to raise awareness, reduce stigma and help encourage conversations about children's mental health and well-being. Share photos of your artwork and join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #CalvertMentalHealthMatters.

It's the triumphant return of the Teen Book Box! During the summer, we will be checking out free boxes each month to teens who register. Inspired by subscription boxes like Loot Crate, each box will have a theme and contain a library book to borrow, a free book to keep, a fun activity, and a snack. Boxes can be picked up from June 16 to June 30. The theme for June is "Color Our World."
