Let's Go Bus Tour: National Portrait Gallery ($)

You and friends will be riding in comfort in a motorcoach directly to the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. to enjoy an afternoon at the museum to see the "Out of Many: Portraits from 1600 to 1900" Exhibition, as well as other exhibitions at the museum.Tickets are $50 with $20 of each ticket split between Arts Council of Calvert County & Friends of Calvert Library.

The bus trip will depart at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 8, from the CalvART gallery in the Prince Frederick Shopping Center, 110 Solomons Island Rd. You can check-in and peruse the artwork from local artists in the gallery before the bus departs!

"Out of Many: Portraits from 1600 to 1900" highlights individuals who have helped shaped our nation's history and culture. The U.S. Semi quincentennial, America's 250th birthday, is being celebrated in 2026, and what better way to celebrate than exploring art, history, and culture that has influenced our great nation.

The trip will wrap up with a return to the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot at 5:00pm. The tour bus is ADA accessible. Please let us know ahead of time if you utilize a wheelchair so we can notify the bus company prior to the day of the event.

This trip is a fundraiser for the Arts Council of Calvert County and Friends of Calvert Library! $20 of each ticket sold will be split between ACCC and FOCL to help fund important arts & culture programs in Calvert County.
