Adaptive storytime is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to neurodivergent children. This class uses movement, music, stories, and sensory activities to develop early literacy skills in a slower-paced and smaller group setting. Join us for playtime immediately after! All abilities are welcome, and activities generally fall within a preschool interest level. Registration required.
The Didgeridoo Down Under Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, art, science, comedy, character building and audience participation. The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound.

Join Nikki Phillips, Career Advisor and Corporate Trainer, for an interactive workshop to explore your skills, strengths and values as they pertain to your career choices. The work will help you figure out a career pathway that fits. Nikki will be using the RIASEC model used in the school system, so it's also a great opportunty to learn the language your students are hearing.
Maryland Department of Labor, Veterans Program, Senior Community Service Employment and Job Service representatives will be in person at Calvert Library Prince Frederick to meet with those seeking employment or career change. Walk-ins welcome on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.

Join Reptile Wonders for a hands-on, interactive show with ten different exotic species of reptiles. Everything from baby turtles to giant tortoises, monitor lizards to large pythons. There will be a discussion about where these animals can be found, what they eat and what eats them. All ages.

It's the triumphant return of the Teen Book Box! During the summer, we will be checking out free boxes each month to teens who register. Inspired by subscription boxes like Loot Crate, each box will have a theme and contain a library book to borrow, a free book to keep, a fun activity, and a snack. Boxes can be picked up from July 15 to July 31. The theme for July is "Summertime".

A representative from Calvert County Public Schools Head Start program will be available outside of the Storytime room to answer questions about the program. Head Start promotes the school readiness of young children from low-income families. Head Start is a vital program that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to families.

TACOS meets monthly to help us with our events and services planning. Join us every third Thursday! You can receive 1 Service Learning hour for each meeting attended.
