Join us, in-person, to hear a panel of experts address the racial wealth gap in Southern Maryland. Learn how it impacts all of our lives. How does land and home ownership play a role? How did the gap start, what are the issues today, and how do our local systems and policies perpetuate it? How does the wealth gap affect the individual and communities? What can we do about it?

Following the panel presentation, participants will break into small facilitated groups. They will share what they learned, discuss the causes and the impact of the wealth gap on individuals and their families, and discover solutions for how our community can better address home and land ownership in Southern Maryland.

Note

  • When you register, you will be asked for the race with which you identify. This is voluntary, but we ask for this to create diversified small groups.
  • Also, you will be asked if you are able to negotiate stairs.  A few of the small groups will be located on the lower level.
  • You will receive registration confirmation. Registration closes 2 days prior to the event. Programs will be available when you arrive and check in the day of the event.
