Calvert Library Prince Frederick
Combined Meeting Rooms 1 and 2Kara Buckmaster from Emergency Management gets us ready for hazardous weather and more. Learn about the hazards common in Calvert County, resources to help you prepare your household, and how to be resilient against future emergencies and disasters. Bring your questions & get cool giveaways and checklists...all to help your family be prepared for hurricane season and other common emergencies!
The whole state of MD is encourged to read the book What Storm What Thunder by Myriam J.A. Chancy set amidst the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Earthquakes are rare here, but flooding and hurricanes are common! As part of our One Maryland One Book programming, we're offering you this opportunity to make prepping for disaster fun! Learn how to keep your family and home safe!
Place a hold on What Storm What Thunder.
One Maryland One Book is a program of Maryland Humanities. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Maryland State Library.
