Join us for a bus tour of the Barn Quilt Trail through Calvert County! You and friends will embark on a guided tour of the Calvert Barn Quilt Trail as you learn about the quilt square designs and the meaning behind them. The tour is a fundraiser for the Arts Council and Friends of Calvert Library!

The bus tour will depart at 9:00AM on Saturday, April 5th from the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot. Check-in for the event will be in the CalvART Gallery at the shopping center. Check-in and ability to peruse the artwork from local artists in the gallery opens at 8:00AM.

The guided bus tour will wind you throughout parts of Calvert County as you explore 17 of the quilt squares on the trail! Barn Quilt Trail (BQT) program lead volunteer, Sue Mills, will educate you about the quilt trail, the quilt square designs you see and the history behind them.

At lunch, the tour will make a stop at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM) for lunch at the pavilion and to see the JPPM "Black Eyed Susan" Square. Choose the ticket that includes lunch for a box lunch from Dream Weaver Cafe (choose from 3 sandwich options) or bring your own lunch. The bus tour will wrap up at 3:00PM with a return to the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot.

The tour bus is ADA accessible, but please note that some barn quilt squares require leaving the bus to view. A little walking is needed for this tour to be able to see all barn quilt squares. Please let us know ahead of time if you utilize a wheelchair so we can notify the bus company prior to the day of the event.

This BQT Tour is a fundraiser for the Arts Council of Calvert County and Friends of Calvert Library! $20 of each ticket sold will be split between ACCC and FOCL to help fund important arts & culture programs in Calvert County.

For accessibility accommodations, please contact us at least 2 weeks before the event. 410-535-0291.
