Calvert Library invites you to enjoy exhibits of local art in each of our locations all month.

Barrett Gibson, an Annapolis, Maryland native, has had a passion for art and marine life since he was a child.  Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay and spending summers in Ocean City, taught him to appreciate the beauty and mystique of what those waters held.  He has created original artwork that captures the images of coastal living, reminding us to respect and appreciate all that nature has to offer.  Through his paintings he hopes to bring awareness for the need to conserve wildlife and its habitat.

Teen Book Box Pickup August 16 - 30 (FV) - Here There Be Dragons

It's the triumphant return of the Teen Book Box! During the summer, we will be checking out free boxes each month to teens who register. Inspired by subscription boxes like Loot Crate, each box will have a theme and contain a library book to borrow, a free book to keep, a fun activity and a snack. Boxes can be picked up from August 16 to August 30. The theme for August is "Here There Be Dragons."
