"Set in sun-drenched 1950s Italy, this stylish psychological thriller from Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella (The English Patient) is based on the acclaimed novel by Patricia Highsmith. Tom Ripley (Matt Damon), a charming outsider, is hired to retrieve wealthy playboy Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) and return him to America. But, Tom's fascination turns to obsession and his lies spiral into identity theft and murder.
