Critical Race Theory Informational Webinar

What is it and is it being taught in our schools?

Join the Closing the Gap Coalition for a 90-minute webinar clarifying the issues around Critical Race Theory (CRT). The discussion will include CRT, what it is, what it isn't, why it is in the public eye. Representatives from CCPS will discuss the district's curriculum development process and share curricular and instructional practices related to teaching history and social studies.

	José R. Ballesteros	Dr. Ballesteros is Professor of Latinx Studies and Directory of Equity Programming at St Mary?s College of Maryland, and parent of two CCPS students
	Taylor W. Jones	Dr. Jones is a partner at CulturePoint, LLC. and is a sociolinguist. He consults on diversity and cultural issues across the Department of Defense, State Department, and Intelligence communities.
	Christopher S. Hall	Mr. Hall is a consultant at CulturePoint LLC where he works with a variety of military and private sector companies addressing culture and performance.
	Jackie Jacobs	Ms. Jacobs is the CCPS Director of System and Instructional Performance
	Scott McComb	Mr. McComb is the Supervisor of Social Studies at Calvert County Public Schools.
	Daniel Curry	Dr. Curry is the Calvert County Public School Superintendent.

Dr. Susan Johnson, Assistant Superintendent of Schools and Sandy Walker, Supervisor of School Improvement and Equity will also be on hand to answer questions.
