Meeting Room 3At this event, elementary aged children will do fun activities and read aloud to teen volunteers. Teen volunteers can earn one (1) service learning hour for participating. It's a great way to socialize and build reading confidence!
Does your K-5th grade child love to read out loud, or struggle with reading confidence? Here's the chance for everyone to practice in a safe and welcoming space!
How it works for young readers:
- Register for the event on this page.
- Bring your favorite books, or pick one of ours when you get here--we have plenty!
- Choose your teen Reading Buddy and read them a story!
- Have fun!
How it works for teen Reading Buddies:
- If you are interested in being a Teen Reading Buddy, please register for the event and expect an email with more information at least three days before the event.
- Help a young reader build their confidence by being a kind and patient listener!
- Recommend books you liked as a child.
- Earn a service learning hour!
