Calvert Library Prince Frederick invites you to enjoy watercolors and acrylics/mixed media-collage art by local artist Donna Carley Tizol. The exhibition will run through May 2025.

Donna Carley Tizol is a Southern Maryland artist inspired by her Aunt Jean Frost's creative influence from an early age. After retiring from Calvert County Public Schools in 2014, she embraced her passion for art, dividing her time between the Chesapeake Bay and the Virginia mountains. Working in watercolors on Yupo paper, acrylics/mixed media-collage, and scratchboard, her artwork reflects the natural beauty around her—landscapes, barns, animals, seascapes, and aquatic life. Through her art, she seeks to bring joy and a smile to all who view it.

You and friends will embark on a guided tour of the Calvert Barn Quilt Trail as you learn about the quilt square designs and the meaning behind them.
