Teens! Calvert Library needs you! We want the library to be a safe space where teens can hang out and freely access books, information and form community. TACOS meets monthly to help us with our events and services planning. You can receive 1 Service Learning hour for each meeting attended.

Adults and seniors, each month we will enjoy tea, have treats and discuss non-fiction titles, memoirs, biographies or fiction that is based on real people. This month's book club pick is "Everything is Tuberculosis" by John Green.

Come see the talent of our young local artists representing the future of the Calvert County art scene. This is a collection of the art projects the Patuxent High School art students have worked so hard to complete this year.

Teens get creative by crafting sweet "sushi" using Rice Krispie treats, fruit roll-ups, gummy candies and more! Participants vote on their favorite. Adaptive storytime is designed to be inclusive & welcoming to neurodivergent children. This class uses movement, music, stories and sensory activities to develop early literacy skills in a slower-paced & smaller group setting. Join us for playtime immediately after! All abilities are welcome, & activities generally fall within a preschool interest level. Registration required for children only.

Join us for a morning of nature education and get a chance to encounter some incredible raptors (the birds, not the dinosaurs) first hand! Naturalists from the Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center will introduce us to different types of raptors and teach us about their calls, their habitats and more!
